From there, we measured click-through rates, conversion rates, and cost per conversion. The dynamic ads initially showed a higher click-through rate, which we expected, and although this dropped over time, the results still edged out those of the standard ads.

This taught us that while dynamic content can boost visibility and engagement, you run the risk of lowering intent. The top of the funnel is much more likely to filter users onto your landing page when you're catering ad content exactly to them (i.e., keyword, location), but if the end product or landing page isn't suitable, there's no reason for them to stay.
